Jack Link’s partnered with hit FOX TV series Family Guy for the release of Family Guy’s Season 16 DVD. Lead character Peter Griffin appeared on Jack Link’s packs, linked to an interactive digital campaign in which Peter Griffin became brand ambassador for Jack Link’s… but didn’t quite live up to Jack Link’s expectations.

Writing in the voices of the Family Guy characters, and working within a set library of provided images, I wrote a months-long ongoing story where Peter and Jack Link’s management fell into disputes over Peter’s “creative vision”, leading him to take the money and run off on holiday.

This led to other characters auditioning for the job, culminating in Jack Link’s Facebook followers being able to vote for the new spokesperson.

Resident evil genius Stewie held the world to ransom…

…while resident sleaze Quagmire decided to hold a “tasting party”. We created an actual Facebook event for this, which attracted acceptances in the thousands before Jack Link’s was “forced to cancel” the party because of Quagmire’s behaviour.

 

This campaign was nominated for a 2017 LIMA INTERNATIONAL LICENSING AWARD.
